Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship and Support Scheme: Continuing Professional Development: Non clinical support staff working in a hospital emergency department
Overview
The scheme is an Australian Government initiative. The scheme enables non clinical support staff to enhance their skills to administer the workflows in a hospital emergency department.
Application dates
Applications for this scheme are now closed. The next round of scholarships will open 23 July 2012.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to apply applicants must be
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Currently employed in a non clinical support role within an emergency department
- Undertaking a Continuing Professional development activity in 2012
Scholarships will be awarded as a contribution toward the cost of accessing
- Short courses
- Workshops
- Conferences/seminar

Selection criteria for Continuing Professional Development Scholarships
Scholarships will be based on how the applicant addresses the following criteria
- how the scholarship will benefit your career within a hospital
- your commitment to providing administrative support in a hospital emergency department
- how the proposed activity will improve/enhance your working skills.
Value of scholarship
The scheme provides a scholarship worth up to a total of $1,500 per applicant. These funds are intended to assist scholars in meeting the cost of their chosen CPD activity.
Funding is available for activities commencing in 2012 and conducted in Australia.
