This new network was established in July 2009 to increase the emphasis on men’s health in the suite of ACN Networks. This new network will provide the opportunity for nurses to discuss the current health gaps experienced by men, relating to both longevity and chronic illnesses. It is proposed that interactive forum discussion would include the complex mix of biological, social and behavioural factors, all of which play a significant role in men’s wellness. This network would appeal to nurses who have specific roles in men’s health and the nurses who care for men in various settings, including community and acute care environments. This network would also be valuable for nurses engaged in policy development at local, state and federal levels.
