About the Aged Care Support Systems

Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA), has developed a system of resources and programs to support your studies and career development. The Support Systems are only available to Aged Care Nursing scholarship holders.

The Support Systems offers you:

A mentoring scheme;
A dedicated website with links to relevant on-line resources and organisations;
On-line discussion groups;
Electronic bulletins;
Academic skills resources; and
Project officers to help with accessing and using various aspects of the program and resources.

How do I access the Support Systems website?

Go to the website by clicking on the link below . Click the pink button that will enable you to register online and follow the instuctions provided. Aged Care Mentor Scheme (ACMS)

The aim of the Aged Care Mentor Scheme (ACMS) is to provide an additional level of support to scholarship recipients (mentees) and to encourage and inspire them to continue their career path into aged care nursing. Registrations for the Aged Care Mentor Scheme are open to holders of an Aged Care Nursing Scholarship Scheme Scholarship and Aged Care Registered Nurses who meet the criteria to register as a mentor.

To register as a Mentee, please access the Support Systems Website click here. You will be able to access the online Scholarship Mentoring Support System and register as a Mentee. If you require assistance, please contact the To register as a Mentor, please complete the Mentor Expression of Interest form, and return by fax to the Mentor Project Office on 03 9685 7596 . The Mentor Expression of Interest form also details the Mentor Registration Process. All Mentors who are successful in registering for the Aged Care Mentor Scheme are strongly encouraged to attend one of the fully-funded two-day mentor workshops conducted throughout the year.
