On behalf of the Royal College of Nursing Australia - South Australian Chapter, I would like to welcome you to the SA Chapter website.
The SA Chapter Committee is focused on promoting professional issues in nursing and ensuring nursing has a voice in speaking out on health issues that affect nurses and the community at the local and national level. We are keen to present nursing as a positive career choice by promoting the role of nurses as professionals.
We regularly seek input from nurses in commenting on discussion papers and key reports of relevant issues to the profession to ensure nursing input in policy development.
The SA Chapter is also interested in hearing from nurses about professional issues, news and events that may be occurring across SA, Australia and internationally. Information about upcoming Chapter Events, including educational forums can be found on the Chapter Events page. The forums are organised and facilitated by Committee members to discuss key issues of importance to the nursing profession in South Australia.
The committee and I would personally to invite any nurse to attend one of our monthly chapter meetings. Like all voluntary professional organisation we rely on our members to keep the chapter alive by actively participating in chapter activities.
Please feel free to contact myself or any of the SA Chapter members to become more involved in the Chapter and its activities. You can find contact details and information on the SA Chapter Committee by following the web link above.
Overall, the Committee welcomes you and encourages you to become involved in the Royal College of Nursing, Australia.
