E-Health

The Department of Health and Ageing has up-to-date E-Health information on the National Health Reform website.

The National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) is responsible for managing the requirements and high-level architecture of the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR) System and will act as the managing agent on behalf of the Department of Health and Ageing. Learn more about NEHTA.

National Registration and Accreditation

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia functions through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to manage national registration of nurses and midwives.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) is the independent accrediting authority, which sets standards for accreditation, accredits courses and providers and undertakes skills assessments of internationally qualified nurses and midwives.
